RESULTS AFTER 3Q2013 OF IMPEXMETAL GROUP

After 3Q2013 the operating profit  on continuous operations of the Group has amounted to PLN 68.1 million in relations to PLN 72 million in the analogous period of the previous year. Net profit has  amounted to PLN 66.9 million.

„Further months of 2013 show that our optimistic forecast for the European economy were well-founded” – says Mrs. Małgorzata Iwanejko – CEO of Impexmetal S.A. „We improve the quality of our results in all operating segments. The positive tendencies  have been seen particularly in aluminium segment – we plan that the realization of the investment plan will allow us to keep the current trend.  Hutmen Group, specialised in copper processing, has positively improved the operating efficiency of its leading products – condenser copper tubes, copper rods and bus-bars. The increase of sale on the German market has significantly influenced on the achieved results. Baterpol S.A. – for which the main problem in the operating activity are high prices of the raw material (battery scrap) – develop slowly its alternative suppliers portfolio”. – adds the CEO of Impexmetal.

The revenues of Impexmetal Group after 3Q2013 has amounted to PLN 2 billion and were by 7 % higher than the revenues achieved in the analogous period of the previous year.

„Revenues higher by 7 % are the effects of considerable increase of the sale levels”. – says Mrs. Małgorzata Iwanejko.„Particularly the copper segment and Walcownia Metali Dziedzice, which has increased its sale by 1/3, achieving historically the highest results – deserve to be rewarded”.
